non stick griddle
A griddle is the best tool for making breakfast. These griddles are mom’s best friend. They have a lip that is just high enough to prevent the pancake or egg mixture from sticking to the pan and a low enough to allow for a turner.
At least it’s in the morning!
A good griddle is essential for pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
The Lodge Cast Iron Gril is my favorite griddle. It is made of tough cast Iron and will last forever if it is properly cared for. It is also nonstick and does not contain any chemicals.
Cast iron is not considered nonstick by many. The GreenLife Diamond Healthy ceramic griddle is a great choice for those who aren’t comfortable with cast iron.

What to Look for in the Best Non Stick Grid Griddle
There are some things to consider before you rush out to buy your non-stick griddle pan. You should also consider the type of cooking that you will be doing.
Do you want a griddle that you can bring on camping trips or one you can use for large family meals at home.
Consider the following when looking for the best non-stick griddle pan:
Material
The heat conductivity of the material used in the griddle pan will determine how evenly it cooks without creating hotspots.
Cast iron or Carbon steel griddles are long-lasting and strong, but take some time to heat up. They will retain heat longer.
Cast iron’s nonstick properties are still a matter of debate. Most people would say no. My experience is that if you keep the seasoning correct and cook carefully, it will achieve nonstick performance. It isn’t Teflon, however.
Most griddle pans can be made from aluminum, titanium or with a ceramic or nonstick coating. They heat quickly and allow the food to brown evenly.
aluminum, titanium are lighter than cast iron and steel. Induction tops should have magnetic bases. Otherwise, cookware will not work.
Stainless steel is not the best choice for a grille, as it can be sticky.
Size
A double-burner gas griddle is a great choice if you have a large family.
A single burner is ideal for pancakes and crepes. Although I am comfortable using a single burner, I had to learn to manage my children’s pancakes with two.
square pans have more surface area for cooking eggs and bacon. round pans heat up a bit faster.
Stovetop and Electric
Depending on what type of cooking you will be doing, you might need to choose between an electric griddle or a griddle that can be used on the stovetop and oven.
- Stovetop Griddle: This nonstick stovetop griddle is more versatile and portable than any other. You can, for example, take your griddle pan on a camping trip so that you can sear your steak over the flames after a hard day of hiking.
- Electric: The griddle pans with electric motors aren’t as versatile but have rotary dials that allow you to control the temperature.
Non Stick Coating
Non stick coatings are not to be avoided, but you can make sure that the griddle pan is free of cadmium and PFAS.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is the active component of Teflon. It is safe provided that the temperature does not exceed 260°C (500°F). Many people prefer to avoid it.
There are safer alternatives, such as cast iron and ceramic. However, not all ceramic cookware can be made without PTFE. Make sure you read the product description and packaging. (I have done this for you in these reviews.
It’s not easy to find nonstick griddles that are PTFE-free. You can find a Teflon-free nonstick pan that is PTFE-free here.
Look out for griddle plates that can withstand higher temperatures. This includes cast iron, stainless steel and anodized aluminium. They are less likely to leak harmful metals when heated.
Pet birds can be harmed by the fumes of Teflon or PTFE when they are heated too much.
Warranty
Make sure to read the instructions and manual if your warranty covers the griddle pan. This will prevent you from damaging the surface of the pan and will indicate if it is dishwasher-proof. Sometimes warranties are voided due to not following the instructions.
Do not use any metal utensils if it is recommended by the manufacturer. It is safe to use in the dishwasher, but it is important that nothing touches the non-stick coating inside the dishwasher.
The manual will also indicate the maximum temperatures that the griddle pan is capable of withstanding. These temperatures should not be exceeded or the warranty could be voided.
Non Stick Grid Griddle Reviews
Lodge Cast Iron Griddle – Best Overall Griddle
The Lodge Griddle pan can be used in many ways and is pre-seasoned so you can use it right away.
Cast iron makes it possible to use it over an open fire or on an induction stovetop.
It will take some time for the cast iron griddle to heat up. It will heat up quickly once it is hot enough to be able to sear, fry, or saute your food.
Cast iron can be naturally nonstick if it is treated properly. This means that there won’t be any trace of PTFE (the active ingredient found in Teflon).
It’s not dishwasher-safe so you will need to clean it by hand. It is usually quite simple to clean. It is recommended that you season it regularly to preserve its quality.
A small number of customers have reported that their pans arrived damaged. Lodge might need to improve its quality control. It’s simple to replace your pan. In the unlikely event of any damage, make sure to inspect your pan immediately it arrives.
Pros
- Foundry-seasoned
- All cooking surfaces are compatible
- Oven-safe
- Heats evenly and retains heat well
- Long-lasting
- Cast iron is PTFE-Free (No TEFlon).
Cons
- Dishwasher-safe
- Cast iron requires maintenance
- A small number of users have reported pans that are damaged

GreenLife Diamond Health Ceramic Griddle–Best Non Stick Griddle
This aluminum griddle pan by GreenLife is a great alternative to cast iron. This pan is great because it’s made with recycled aluminum by GreenLife, which means less waste and a more environmentally-friendly product.
The ceramic griddle is coated with a nonstick coating that is free of PFAS, lead and cadmium. It is not clear if the ceramic griddle is free from PTFE (the active ingredient of Teflon). This could indicate that it contains PTFE. PTFE is not dangerous and can be found in many non-stick products. Don’t let this put you off. You should take all precautions.
Aluminum heats evenly and quickly, making it easy to fry bacon, eggs, or burgers. The large nonstick surface is made of Diamond Reinforced Tech. It’s easy to clean up and the food slides off easily.
Unfortunately, the surface coating can be damaged and is not as durable as you would like. Wash according to the instructions and never use metal utensils.
It can be oven-safe to 177°C (350°F). It’s not very hot, so use caution when using it in the oven. My griddle is never in the oven, so I don’t think it would be wise to do that.
You can also use it in the oven on electric, gas, and ceramic stoves. It doesn’t matter what cooking method you use, the handle stays cool so your hands don’t get burned.
This pan won’t work on an induction stovetop because it lacks the necessary ferrous metal
It is also important to remember that some customers received damaged products. It’s possible to replace the product, but it is best to do so immediately.
Pros
- Soft-touch stay-cool handle
- Ceramic non-stick coating
- Dishwasher safe
Cons
- Induction stovetops not suitable
- Customers report that their cooking surfaces have been damaged.
- This may contain PTFE (Teflon). It is not clear.
T-fal B16713 Initiatives non stick Griddle Cookware–Best Budget Griddle
T-fal is a well-known company, known for its innovative technologies. This pan is no exception.
T-fal’s Thermal Spot Technology is included in the B16713. It consists of a indicator at the pan’s center that alerts you when it has reached the optimal cooking temperature. Although it is not something I use, it’s nice to have.
This pan is also made of a mixture of aluminum and stainless steel, so it heats quickly and evenly. It can be used in the oven, and can withstand temperatures of up to 177°C (350°F). This is a safe temperature, but not very high.
The Proglide non-stick surface makes it easy to clean even the most stubborn messes. You can even throw it in the dishwasher. Dishwasher cleaning has a downside: if you don’t season the pan after 10 washes, the non-stick coating will likely perish quickly.
This griddle pan is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. You must take good care of the griddle pan to ensure that it doesn’t become void of its warranty.
The pan may be slightly warped in its center. This can cause it to tip over and fall to one side. It is also quite light and heavy so it is susceptible to tipping backwards.
Pros
- ThermoSpot Technology allows for easy use
- All heat sources are compatible
- Dishwasher-proof
- Affordable
Cons
- It is easy to forget to season your pan after every 10th washing. This could lead to a loss of coating integrity.
- The center of the pan is slightly warped
- It can be difficult to handle heavy items, which causes it to tip backwards when empty.
- Contains PTFE (the active ingredient in Teflon).
Farberware non-stick Griddle Pan – Best Dishwasher Safe Griddle
The Farberware option is my favorite non-stick griddle for electric stovetops and gas stovetops. The durable aluminum construction heats evenly and prevents hot spots. This guarantees that your food doesn’t get burned.
The SmartGlide nonstick coating is what I love, as it allows you to easily flip your food. It is also easy to clean.
It’s nonstick, but some people don’t like it. They say it makes it difficult to place your utensils under the food. This is a shame as the purpose of low sides on a griddle is to allow your turner more space.
This can be fixed by allowing your food to cook sufficiently before you flip it.
The handle is double-ribbed, which means it will not come apart while being moved. To move the griddle pan between the stovetop and oven safely, it has a cool touch handle.
While it is oven safe, it’s recommended that you only use low and medium temperatures–up to 177degC (350degF)–otherwise, the pan could warp.
You also have more space for cooking burger patties and grilled cheese sandwiches with the square pan.
Pros
- Lifetime guarantee
- SmartGlide non stick system
- Dishwasher and oven safe
- Useful for gas and electric stovetops
- Affordable
Cons
- Pan can warp above the 177°C (350°F) temperature
- Textured cooking surfaces may not be suitable for everyone.
- It may melt and is not suitable for ceramic or glass stovetops.
- Contains PTFE (Teflon active ingredient)
You can find more cookware than a griddle in my guide to pans and pots for gas stoves or my electric stove cookware.
Cuisinart Double Burner Griddle – Best Double-Burner Griddle
A double-burner grill is a great addition to any cookware collection. Cuisinart’s heat surround technology allows for even heat distribution. It also has sloped sides that maximize cooking surface.
The exterior is hard-anodized and the handles are made of stainless steel. This makes it durable and long-lasting. Some users complained that some parts were cooler than others due to the uneven heat distribution.
The nonstick coating of titanium ensures a durable and healthy cooking surface. It’s also easy-to-clean.
Customers love the cool touch of the handles while you cook, which makes it easy to transport from stovetop to countertop. It can be left to cool, then you can put it into the dishwasher for quick cleaning.
This double-burner can be used on any stovetop, which gives it great versatility.
However, some customers have reported that it did not work with their induction tops. A number of customers have reported that the pan would warp even at the correct temperature range, up to 260°C (500°F).
The lifetime warranty on this griddle pan is also included. However, it’s important to properly care for it so that it doesn’t become void.
Pros
- Ideal for use with induction cooktops
- Heat Surround(tm), technology
- Hard-anodized exterior
- Lifetime guarantee
Cons
- Customers report that their pans warps without any reason

Emeril Lagasse Double-Burner Griddle–Runner-Up Double Burner Griddle

This product can be used on any stovetop. It is useful when you need large quantities of eggs, bacon, or burger patties.
This griddle has a slightly raised side to stop food from accidentally rolling off. It is also oven safe, which makes it ideal for roasting chicken and vegetables.
The handles are wider and more comfortable than I expected. They also stay cool to the touch, which is a plus for me. The handles are also securely riveted so that you can easily move the griddle pan without getting burnt.
The pan is dishwasher-safe and has a triple layer nonstick coating. It is supposed to be safe for metal utensils. It scratches easily in practice. It is best to avoid using any metal utensils, regardless of what the manufacturer says.
The griddle pan itself is thin and could warp in extreme temperatures, such as 232°C (450°F).

OXO Good Grips non stick Pro Griddle–Best Square Single-Burner Griddle

It’s also made of hard-anodized aluminium, which allows for excellent heat conduction. It can be used in the oven to provide additional convenience. It can be warped if it is exposed to temperatures above 220°C (430°F).
It’s versatile but doesn’t have enough ferrous metal to make induction cooktops.
It has a three-layer nonstick coating, that is unique and makes it more durable than other products.
Cool-to-touch stainless-steel handles make it easy to move. The rolled edges allow for drip-free pouring.
This pan can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. It’s heavy and can tip towards the handle when empty.

Calphalon Contemporary Square Grid Griddle Pan-Runner-Up Square Single Burner Griddle
The Calphalon griddle will work well in smaller households. This modern square pan has 11-inch (28 cm) sides.
This griddle is made of hard-anodized aluminium. It heats evenly and quickly, which makes it easy to brown your food.
Cool to touch handles are another great feature for people who burn frequently. The griddle can withstand temperatures up to 232°C (450°F) You should avoid exposing it to higher temperatures than this, as it can cause the pan’s warping.
The pan’s interior is coated with three layers nonstick coating. This allows for quick and easy food release. It can also be easily washed or put in the dishwasher. You’ll need to be careful not to let it drip while moving.
Reports have suggested that wet food could slide off the pan due to the low sides. However, griddles have low sides. A frying pan is a good choice if you are looking to make wet food that doesn’t slide around as much.
You get a lifetime warranty with the pan. Make sure to read all instructions carefully to make sure you don’t lose this. Avoid using metal utensils, for example.
Customers have complained about pan warping, despite properly caring for the pan. This can reduce the heat retention and cause it to look sloppy on the stovetop.
Pros
- Lifetime guarantee
- Keep cool
- Slender lip
- Hard-anodized
Cons
- Customers have warned that the pan could warp despite being properly cared for.
- Over time, heat retention might decrease

Presto 07061 22 Inch Electric Griddle – Best Electric Griddle

The master heat controller allows you to control the temperature and precisely cook. The slide-out drip tray is another great feature for those who love clean-ups. It will capture liquids and can be easily removed.
The griddle pan features a nonstick, textured surface that allows air to circulate between food and the surface. This allows for easier browning and flipping of food, while making it easy to clean.
The manufacturer does not specify if the non-stick coat is PTFE-free. It most likely contains PTFE.
After you have removed the heat controller, you can submerge the pan in water. The handles can be removed to make it easier. This makes it easier to clean and store.

We have last but not least, another electric griddle from NutriChef. This griddle is round and smaller than our Presto. It will fit well on your countertop if you plan to use it daily.
The LED indicator is a notable feature. It lets you know when it is time to cook. A built-in rotary dial allows you to adjust and control the temperature. It doesn’t have temperature guides so it can be difficult to know what the temperature is.
Some customers complain that the heating is inconsistent even though they have mastered the dial. This can lead to uneven or very slow cooking.
