A pizza scraper helps clean up. Scrape off any pizza pieces that are stuck to the stone.

How to use the pizza stone on a grill

Place your pizza on the grill and heat it.

Meanwhile, finish off your pizza

Slide your pizza onto the hot stone.

Turn off the grill or take out the stone when the pizza is almost done (the cheese has melted).

It will still need some care. It comes pre-seasoned so it mainly contains:

  • After use, immediately wash your hands with soap.
  • Dry immediately
  • If you are storing, apply a thin layer of oil.

Cast iron takes some getting used to. Cast iron can also cause pizza to burn. Cast iron takes some time to heat up. However, once it is hot it will not cool down for a while. Use a lower heat and let the pan heat up for a longer time.

Also, you won’t be able to press the dough directly in the pan. This is because the cast iron pizza stone needs to be preheated first. You can prepare the pizza separately, heat the pan and then transfer it to the oven. The pizza will stick to your pan if you don’t heat it. )
